We last left you just prior to the launch of our “Working Wednesday” working parties, I am pleased to report that attendance numbers at these events are growing every time we hold an event, last Wednesday saw 11 members turn out at Borrowash to carry on the restoration of the bottom lock and ground work that will eventually end at Station Road, we are making a very clear impression on the local area .

Also going on, we have held our annual “lock-thru” at Swarkestone Lock on Bank Holiday, a good day for fund raising and also getting awareness of our plans out to local and national visitors.
Three more working parties to re-enforce the efforts at Borrowash, along with 28 additional helpers from local Geocachers on one Sunday saw a lot of scrub cleared and we also attended the Friends of Breaston Navigation event held on Sunday the 25th September to help support this event.

Full membership details along with social events and working party dates are available on our web page, along with details of our Annual AGM to be held in October.
