In case you missed our previous post, The Derby River Boat will be launched on the river Derwent in spring 2020 by the Derby and Sandiacre Canal Trust. After the launch, the river boat service will run each year between Spring and Autumn taking 12 passengers at a time on regular trips up and down the river.

Over the last month we’ve had a significant amount of process made on the metal hull, the below images demonstrate that once was just a pile of metal plate is now starting to look like a canal boat!

I’m also please to show the new logo for the river boat (above), which will be displayed prominently on the boat and the future web-pages for the river boat.

If you are interested in being part of this project please get in touch via volunteers@derbycanal.org.uk.

And in case you missed it, the launch video below too!
