Thank you to all those supporters of the Trust that are signed up to Give As You Live. Total donations to the Trust have now exceeded £500. To those not yet signed up if you shop online you could add to the Trust’s coffers without it costing a penny extra on your online shopping.
A member has recently told us the following story. While researching the purchase of a new kitchen appliance on the internet a spread of prices was found ranging from £169.99 from an unknown retailer to £179.99 from a well-known retailer up to £209.99 from the appliance manufacturer. As an added bonus the well-known retailer had very favorable delivery costs and they were signed up to donate through Give As You Live. So the member was able to save £40 over the manufacturer’s price and obtain a donation to the Trust.
So if you are not registered with Give As You Live you can do so by clicking this link. There are over 4,300 retailers that are signed up to donate.
You can also use Give As You Live to compare Insurance, Electricity and Gas tariffs, Holidays and Travel, and buy in-store shopping cards for the major supermarkets, which will all lead to donations to the Trust.
Additionally when shopping at Amazon the Trust is also registered with Amazon Smile to obtain similar donations, when selecting a charity to support just search for “Derby” and we will be in a short list of options.
